(1) Do you provide non-accommodation package? No, we do not have a non-accommodation package available. The 10 day congress is planned to be held at the Grand Hotel in Taipei (the hotel information will be provided shortly) (2) How much does it cost for a single room for the accommodation? If you wish to stay at a single room during the 10 day congress, we will be charging extra accommodation fee. The price is yet confirmed, and once we have the contract with the hotel we will inform you. If you plan to stay at a single room, please inform us once you have finished the registration. (3) I might not be able to attend all 10 days of the congress, is there any program for the congress which is of a shorter duration and at a lower cost? There are only two registration packages for this congress, so there would be neither shorter duration nor a lower cost. One is 10-day congress, and the other is 10-day congress plus post congress tour. (The earlier you register, the cheaper!) (4) Do I have to be an IM of IPSF in order to register for IPSF congresses? If you are an undergraduate pharmacy student, even if you are not a part of any organization, you are welcomed to register for the congress. However, if you have already graduated from school, you must become an IM in order to register for the congress. (5) When will the congress start? (On web page it's written 6th of August, but on the posters it is printed the 7th of August) The RC would like to apologize for the mistake. "Day 0" (Aug 6th) is the arrival date of all delegates. When printing the posters we accidentally forgot to count the date from Day 0. The congress starts on August 6th, we will be having some interviews, check-ins, and also a welcome party. (6) Can I get the invitation letter in advance (before fully completed the registration procedure)? According to our registration procedure, every participant should transfer the fee to us, and then fill out the registration form online. After we confirm all of this, we'll send invitation letter to the participant to help get visa. If you wish to receive the invitation letter before registration, please write to info@ipsf2007.org, and tell us the purpose of this letter. (7) Are the dates for the Scientific Symposium and Educational Forum fixed? Is it possible to register for only the 2-day program alone and not for the entire event? The symposium and forum will be held on August 11th and 12th (day 5 and day 6, Saturday and Sunday). The dates are fixed. We do not provide a symposium package for the foreign students. (8) What should I do if I could not find a Taiwan embassy in my country? OR, although there is a Taiwanese office in my country, it has no authority to give visa. What should I do? Please go to the following webpage and find an embassy that is near the place you live. Is there a more convenient or cheaper way to get visa? If traveling to the other country isn't a problem for you, it's best you travel there for the visa in person. This is a faster, safer and more certain way of receiving your visa. However if you have difficulties in traveling, another way the RC can help you is through applying landing visa. By providing your travel information below, you will be permitted to enter Taiwan. (the needed information and the risks of landing visas are listed below) (10) What information should I provide to the RC for applying the landing visa? If you wish to apply the landing visa through the RC, you must complete all the registration procedure of the IPSF congress (including the transfer of registration fee). Please provide the exact flight number, date, time of arrival (and departure) of your flight after receiving the confirmation letter from the RC. The flight information is unchangeable once we go into the landing visa procedure. **Although landing visas are much convenient, there is the risk of not receiving the visas until the registration of the congress and the confirmation of the flight is done. Therefore we suggest you apply for the visa in person rather than through landing visa.
